LENA Start Virtual Program

LENA Start helps parents of infants and toddlers up to 32 months old close the talk gap to build their babies' brains and prepare them for school.

LENA Start classes provide patrons with FREE 1-hour virtual group sessions, all of the course materials, and classes in Spanish or English.

Parents will be provided our pedometer-like LENA devices to track numbers of words and conversational exchanges with your child in order to track the parent's progress. Parents will receive weekly reports to let them know how they are doing as they go through this 10-week program.

Speak with Library Staff at the Manteca Branch to sign up with your child before the start dates.

LENA Start Dates:

  • Virtual Information meetings will be Tuesday 1/26 @ 4:30pm and Thursday, 2/11 @ 6:15pm.
  • There will also be a meeting in Spanish on Wednesday, 1/27 @ 9:15am.

Information Meetings offer you a chance to hear about the program and to ask questions to learn how LENA Start works, how it helps, and how you can become involved.
